I have the potential to get office XP for $15. should I?

No, not illegal. I'm currently at UT austin orientation. Microsoft has a contract with UT for REALLY low prices of microsoft software. nothing costs more than 20 i think. even win2k and upcoming winxp.

is office XP worth it right now? or should i wait for someone else's copy? whats so great with officeXP that i cant do without?

its coming with everything i think, except the mouser.

Oh yeah, what you can do that you couldn't do before is save files in a format that older versions of office can't read, so it forces everyone else to upgrade.

Truthfully there is no real difference. $15 dollars isnt a whole lot of money if you know what I mean. Maybe you should look at someone else's and see what their's is like so you can see whether or not you like it.

oh, at the store, they had the G4 Titanium on display. looks VERY VERY nice. speakres are small though. but i was impressed at the look. wish it ran win2k.

Yeah, you should get it--only $15...that's why I got it. Oh yeah, you might want to hold off on your get rich quick scam because

1.) You can't buy more than 1 copy and they know what and when you bought that sh@$.
2.) If stupid punks like you find a way to get through the system, I'm sure MS will end their
agreement with UT and I'll hae to personally come and kick your ass--I'd stick to you like

i was being sarcastic dude. i make money on ebay as it is [legitly]. i only make people pay for the cdr. now that i have scsi, i just pop it in, and i can do wahtever [counterstrike]. scsi is burnproof, of ocurse, so is smp and scsi...

I was going to upgrade to it once I got back to school, but I'm always messing around with hardware in my system, and I'm not really wanting to have to deal with the constant calling of MS. I will probably upgrade to xP, but only after I've seen it in action...

Good point, I reinstall windows like every other month. That would be a huge pain to call MS every time.
