......and hitting enter by accident while doing it

Until recently I had never used an Ati card before. I gave my mom my overclocked 1.6a rig for Christmas. She doesn't really need a ti-4600 so I bought her a retail 64meg Radeon 8500 *built by ATi* off FSFT. I must say that I was impressed with the quality of the display it gives. Used the 2.3 catalyst drivers and had no issues at all.

So, I bought another identical card off FSFT for my brother for Christmas. Can I pull ma's card and put the one I just got for my bro in to check it out to make sure it functions properly? It is the exact same card but say it had a different bios, memory or something I probably wouldn't understand or know about....it wouldn't fubar ma's rig would it ? I don't want to hose a sweet running instal or deal with mom about it later. I will turn 40 Sunday but she has no qualms about ripping me a new one when she deems it necessary.:D

Its an MSI 845 Ultra ARU running XP with the 2.3 Catalyst drivers installed.

Thanksabunch !!!!

I have gone from an original Radeon to an 8500 and back without problems using that method.

The other card's BIOS will teach your installed driver about the subtle differences. Card swapping should not be a problem at all.
