I have the absolutely best coworkers

and everyone got out OKAY!!!. The LPN and nursing assistant were true heroes directly fighting the fire in a patient room. The floor was loaded with a sh**load of heavy, complete care patients and everyone amazingly everyone is fine.

Oh, and the fire was electrical and had spread to the O2 line. Scary stuff when you think about it. The patient there was covered in soot.

yeah, it's pretty incredible. the hospital ended up shutting down the entire unit and moving the patients to an outpatient unit. it was pretty chaotic, but wonderful to see coworkers from 3 shifts working as a team (they had activated the emergency response system). that was something I rarely saw when I worked at the cubical farm.
