Well I have been back and forth with the Iwill Tech support, nice people by the way and helpful. Apparently the issues are board level. I just bought one from NewEgg and it is ver 1.1. That is not the latest version it is 1.2. Now the tech support guy told me that they are presently modifying 1.2 because it has some issues. Some are working fine but many like mine are not. They are working on it. My advice is to wait a bit before buying one, it might save you some headaches. They are great boards and I still believe the best one, but there are a few kinks they are working to straighten out. Once those are cleared up this board will be great.

Won't boot with video everytime. Won't boot at 133. When flashed with the new bios it will incorrectly identify a Duron 700 at 693 with default multiplier and when you switch the multiplier to 6.5 it says its running at 644.

The one I got today is DOA. I've built a lot of systems so know what I'm doing. Power would come on but not even a beep. Putting the processor and video card back on my old motherboard worked fine. I tried 100 and 133 mhz jumper positions, clearing the cmos, etc. It is a v1.2 also.

Mine is coming from NewEgg tomorrow. I wonder if I should reject delivery. I really don't want a problem board. I had enough headaches with my MSI Turbo.

Has anyone heard of another version beyond 1.2? Maybe IWILL will post such info in their BIOS download page. A different version might cause the need for a different BIOS.

I got mine from newegg.com - rev 1.1

It REFUSES to even POST with a 1.2 Factory Unlocked T-Bird in it no matter what I do (I've invested over 8 hours trying to get it to work!) I went and bought a Duron 650 from a local computer shop (ouch-$85) and it booted up the first time. I flashed to the new BIOS to see if it would solve my 1.2 problems, but it did not, and now I get strange speed readings on boot up.

I got an RMA from newegg and have another board - ABIT KT-7A Raid showing up today. Hopefully my 1.2 CPU is good, and IWILL just has some issues with their board.

None of them are looking to good. I am doing research on the Aopen one. Asus looks weak for the future, Abit's are low quality as usual, MSI is a poor performer with its own set of problems. The only ones that seem solid is Epox and believe it or not Soltek. But they are not the best overclockers or performers either. It really is just the luck of the draw.

Dammit, I was hoping that the Iwill was the perfect mobo, but from what you guys are saying, this isn't the case?

Okay,,,i guess it wasn't just my board. I'm gettinmg the same video card problems too. And I'm getting even funnier readings on the multiplier settings. At 9x100, I'm getting 800/850. And at 8x100, I'm getting 550/600. Now that is some wierd stuff. I spent nearly the entire day playing with the damn L1 bridges b/c I thought I unlocked my Duron 700 incorrectly. I nearly burned the damn chip b/c I forgot to attach the fan clip...nothing like the sweet smell of a burnt Duron. Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this prob...hope IWill comes through soon. GL all

Guess I'm the lucky 1 here = i just replaced a KT7 that gave me a brain ulcer trying to set up. After a weeks work and an IRQ nightmare I changed it with a KK266 and it's a dream come true. EVERYTHING installed perfectlly first time round and no probs with anthing except it won't boot at 133. Hmm looks like IWILL needs to do something there if we want to runs these at 133 which would be nice! I have a v1.1. lol:)

I've had nothing but good luck with the KT7A. I've currently got it in two PC's. After having bad luck with the v1.2 KK266 I went ahead and got another one from a different reseller. This one is a v1.1. Thus far it seems to be running great at 133/1200 TBird. The TBird is a 100mhz fsb part. I need to do more testing to know if it's completely solid, but it's looking good so far.

Hi,
I have a question.
Is it going to have the same problem if I use Tbird 1.2ghz FSB 266mhz("C" version)?
I was thinking to buy an IWILL KK266, but I guess not.
Which MOBO should I buy? Abit KT7A or ASUS A7V133?
I need your opinion.
Thanks.

How can I check which version of IWILL I have? Mine just came in the mail and I'm going to set it up this afternoon. I hope I'm not screwed over.

Dulanic I read your article. Its a nice read too. But whether or not the Asus will be good for the Palomino is a question mark none the less. I personally would not spend $140 plus on a board that may fall by the wayside in 4 months. They all have bad points, but the Asus' long term value is very questionable.

Well unless the Palomino magically jumps to 60A (Not gonna happen) I stand behind what I wrote.
