here is the cliffnote version. my friend wants to send in a complaint letter to Prada about a wallet she bought. she already went to the store she bought the wallet from and essentially, they told her she was on her own. prada's website is absolutely SUCKS! i have tried googling it for information about prada company info, contact info, customer service, etc. i haven't been able to find anything. i would have thought they have a main office somewhere... maybe not? i don't know. does anyone know how i can contact (or where to find info about) a "customer service" type dept (if it exists) for Prada?

edit - i doubt anyone is gonna read this thread again, but i finally got around to calling those prada stores today (as rossman suggested) and got a number for their corperate office. as a reminder to myself... that number is 212-307-9700. i hope that chick didn't give me a fake number

I called one of those NY stores, they put me on hold and gave me the customer service number.

So it does work and it is incredibly easy, they don't have to know why she's calling or who she is. or you can call them for her.

I didn't write down the number they gave me, I was just testing to make sure that it works.

Man, you must have some great karma from helping everyone out. I'm sure you could go on some sort of killing spree and still be in the clear.

the dye on the wallet started to fade like two months after she bought the wallet and the clothe part started getting "fuzzies". i am not sure if this is supposed to happen to wallets, but if i paid $375 for a wallet, i'd hope it was a little more durable.

If I paid that kind of money for a wallet I hope someone would take me in for a psychiatric evaluation. $375 for a wallet!

"I like my Sketchers, but I LOVE my Prada backpack"

"but...I love my Sketchers!"

"That's because you don't have a Prada backpack"

"oh yeah!"

Hey Spanky-

Forget trying to contact Prada directly. They have horrible customer service (as you already know). Whenever I have problems with high-fashion clothing or accessories, I?ll take the problem to Neiman Marcus. They have killer customer service and will bend over backwards to solve your problem. Their customer service is so good that they won?t even ask you for a receipt. I had a manufacturer defect in a pair of Versace glasses that I didn?t even buy there, and I brought it in. The rep looked at it, didn?t even ask me where I bought the glasses, and asked me if I wanted the refund in store credit or cash. The same thing happened when I brought in a Gucci wallet that had a broken zipper. They sort of know how much an item retails for by looking at it, and will base the refund/credit on that estimate, in the event that they don?t currently carry a matching model.

Of course it?s bad karma to abuse NM?s customer service like that, but I shop there enough to somewhat justify it (at least to my own conscience). Anyway, this recommendation above works best when you go in well-dressed and well-mannered, like you?re a long term customer that they want to keep.

And don?t ask for a refund or anything. Just express your concerns to them and ask if there?s anything they can do about it. If they ask you where you got it, like it?s a style that they haven?t carried in a while, just say it was from some obscure location, like the Neiman in Hawaii or Vegas or something (they all carry different lines, and don?t keep track of what the other stores carry).

Good luck.
