I was tired of minute rice and wanted something different. I saw a 2kg bag of parboiled rice for $3 CDN at the grocery store and decided to try it out.
Using a 2:1 ratio and adding some veggies and seasonings, I was surprised at how good the rice tasted compared to minute rice. It was also quite fluffy.
I also use it to make fried rice.
I also like the nutrition level as well:
Note: I do realize this is the same thing as Uncle Ben's Converted Rice. This is just the first time I used parboiled rice.

Parboiled rice carries 80% of the nutrients of brown rice.
