I do not want to partion my HD to have both XP and Vista to dual boot.
I want to try Vista 64 on a seperate HD, how can I set this up?
I have read about Dual Booting 2 different OSystems, one on each Hard Drive and using the Motherboard dual boot option.... Sound good but, where and how do I set this up?
I have the second HD ready to install
I have XP Pro on the first HD
I have Vista Ultimate ready to install
the MB is a Asus PQ5 Pro and I do not see any option in the bios to configure or change so I will have the ability to dual boot.....

if you want to go the 2 hard drive route, just install xp and vista and each drive separately. if you want to make it easier, just connect the drive which you are installing to and leave out the other drive. Once you re done connect both drives then you will hit F8 or whichever is the boot from option in your bios at POST and select which hard drive you are booting from.

well I decided to jump into it and searched around the internet for an answer last night and everyone that had the same question as I did said to do just what you said to do so thiss morning I took a shot at loading Vista 64 on to a second HD and the result was what I wanted.
Vista 64 works great, it is nice to see more ram recognized and it is running my business programs much quicker then XP Pro does.
