I have question for the USB 2.0 HDD enclosure.

If I stick a HDD inside the enclosure, which already is formatted with several NTFS partitions, will win2k recognize it ?

or I need to reformat my hard drive for the USB enclosure to recognize it ?

pls advice.

I will be trying out that model enclosure today or tomorrow. I was not home when FedEx dropped by yesterday with a delievery so they left the package at the Rental Office(which doesn't open for a couple of hours.)

I installed a new WD40BB(unformatted) in my enclosure. Mounting the drive in the tray was easy, I found it a bit difficult to attach the cable for the LED(it was little tricky.) Windows XP detected the device right away as a USB Mass Storage Device. I was able to go into Disk Management and see the drive, initialize drive, and create a partition.
