I have problems with my motherboard and RAM!

Hi,

I just got the components of my new PC. I have been problems since the first night I put it toghether. The motherboard has some diagnostic LED and those tell me that the motherboard is looking for the RAM and it will hang there. I don't know what's the problem. I can't even get to the bios. The only solution that I have found is to clear the CMOS through the use of jumpers in the motherboard. When I clear the CMOS I put new settings in the RAM timing in the BIOS, and those seem to work out fine. But when I go to work and leave the computer turned off for a couple of hours then when I turn it on it goes back to the problem that it doesn't recognize the RAM.

Can you help me please?

Motherboard: MSI KT3 Ultra
RAM: 256MB Mushking PC2700
CPU: AMD XP 1800+

pitupepito2000, have you tried changing your CMOS battery? It should be a CR2032 battery that stores your BIOS settings while your computer is turned off. Hope this helps 🙂
