I have noticed that on ATOT...

That seems to be more recent. There used to (even as recently as 06 and 07) be more activity and more interesting questions. I miss having the sub forums all combined. 🙁

I liked having the perspective of various people in random topics. Now you have people that dwell more exclusively in certain forums, and they don't share in other threads as much (a car guy giving relationship advice, for example).

Yeah, but this is specifically tied to the division of the forums. You don't get cross-topic posting as much.
