I have several drinking problems.
1. Is that I tend to drink expensive alcohol making it cost alot more to get drunk.
2. I don't like to drink alone and am too good to pawn off cheap crap on friends, costing me more money.
3. I haven't gotten to drink with any hot chics in a while now.
4. I beat furniture with my erect penis when drunk while standing on my head, but that's just for fun.

I think I drink too much. But only because no one else drinks as much as me and everyone says I drink to much.
Im perfectly fine drinking all the time.

Why would you even want to drink all the time?

Because it alters my mind. I worry alot. I just do. About everything. Health, Money, Love, My Car, My friends..etc..etc.. But when I drink I don't worry. I am always happy and then sleepy.

You need to cope with your issues in a more productive way, or go see a doctor if you cant. Nothing productive can come out of your solution.

I've seen a doctor and I have OCD. It causes me to think too much and to over-analyze and worry about everything. I used to just deal with it but booze does it alot faster lol.

Sounds to me like you're self medicating. That's not a good idea. Try to get counseling or some other treatment to deal with worrying instead of using the alcohol to perhaps mask another problem.

I don't think I drink too much. But how do you know? Where's that line you cross?

Denial is common among alcoholics. I'm NOT saying you are because I don't know your circumstances. I suggest this:20 questions

Seriously, PM me.

Only # 15 and 16.

While I am no counselor, I do know a few things about alcoholism. Keep an eye on it and be aware that alcoholism is a progressive disease.

Like I said above, if you can stop after having a few, you're doing great. If you can't stop yourself and have to keep chasing that buzz, then you need help.

If I answered yes to half of the questions, am I an alcoholic?

Several year ago I could drink like a fish, and I often did.

A year or two ago... my body stopped liking alcohol. I basically don't drink anymore...

Pfft! According to "the experts" if you answer "yes" to ONE of those questions, you MAY have a problem.

I drink alone more than half the time. Know why? BECAUSE I LIVE ALONE!!! And HATE bars b/c they are full of smoke. I don't smoke, can't stand the smell and how it stinks up my clothes, my hair and everything else when I'm around it. In my younger years, I LIVED at bars/nightclubs. I grew out of that stage a long time ago. If had a quarter for every dollar I left on the bar b/t 1985-1996, I'd have an easy $5K in my pocket.

I also usually do NOT socialize w/people I work with. It's a bad idea and will only lead to "he said she said" and people talking about you behind your back. My work life is work, my private life is private. Better that way.

Now, if it's a special occasion, someone got promoted or something, I'll go have ONE with them, but then I'm out. I do go to house parties ocassionally, but only if there is a DD that will drive me home. I don't drink and drive (anymore ) and I don't like "sleeping over." Good parties w/DD's are rare these days. And a REAL DD; not the guy who is the least drunk.

Anyway, if you HAVE to drink every day, you have a problem. If you HAVE to get blind drunk and pass out every time you drink, you have a problem. If you would rather drink alone than socialize with a group, you have a problem. If you have to have a drink upon waking up to "steady the nerves" you have a problem. I could go on, but you get the idea.

How do you know when you have a problem?

You need to make some rules when it comes to drinking.

Something like only drinking on days with a "Y" in it.

Last night, had a beer with dinner. I'm currently waiting for my latest Mr. Beer batch to finish carbonating in the bottles so I can drink it. Anybody else make their own beer?
