I have no sound!

I turned on my computer today and there is no sound out of my speakers. I checked to make sure it is plugged in and no dice. I have a Dell 4600 running Windows XP with Sound Blaster live. I would really appreciate the help.

Check you control panel setting and volume control. Make sure under control panel that nothing is muted. Unplug the speakers from the PC and hook them up to a CD player or cassette player or other audio source. Plug headphones into the speaker jack of the PC and see if you get sound. Lots of other things you should check first.
