The problem is the weather resistance is predicated on the lens also being weather resistant, and the standard kit lens (14-42) is not.
You have to start with the 12-50 (which would be a nice focal range) to be perma-sealed.

i never understood the appeal of micro four thirds. Am I missing something? Yea it's relatively inexpensive, but what benefits does that system offer? Maybe a versatile travel camera. But then, why not go with the Sony RX100?
