I have no idea where to look for SCSI bios updates etc.

I use onboard scsi that seems to be LSI Logic. i really have no idea where to start looking for bios updates and drivers other than the rioworks link:

should i look at the scsi bios screen to find out what i have? the device properties does not give much info.

just follow the link for download, click on your model m/board & you'll be directed to a page with latest bios & drivers! this is what I get for a sdvia-ls if that's your board! 🙂
