I have never seen stand-up in person. Should I start now?

Live comedy has an entirely different vibe than the scripted stuff on TV like Seinfeld or something, especially if the comedian is good. I saw Brian Regan a few years ago and it's probably the hardest I've ever laughed in my life. Sort of like seeing a band live or going to a movie theater instead of just watching it at home. It's a different experience when it's live and when you're with a crowd of people. Although I don't go to much live comedy because they can get pretty raunchy and that's not my taste.

Wow sweet! Thanks for the heads up. Normally, I have to go all the way to DC improv but this is much closer (AND CHEAPER).

Completely different beast than scripted.

They follow a scenario but adjust based on the audience.

For locals; they will have a following
