go to walmart get a dollar steak dinner

Porterhouse (you get two cuts of meat to try out) with rosemary marinade.

Couple TBlSP fresh rosemary
1\2 - 1 TBLSP fresh Thyme
2 TBLSP koser\sea salt
2 TBLSP olive oil
2 cloves garlic

add ingredients to a ziplock bag, throw the steak in and marinade in the 'fridge 1-4 hours, turning occasionally.

Charcoal grill.

a steak
so you recommend

obligatory tube steak remark...

You can rarely if ever go wrong with a medium rare Sirloin, just don't get it burnt.

If you want a good steak, go out and have someone make it for you. If you've never cooked steak yourself it won't turn out well.

The largest Filet Mignon you can find. It will be expensive, but Filet Mignon is the best cut of beef out there! (I recommend cooked Medium - anything less gets tough and bloody, anything more and it starts to get horribly dry)

Like others have said. Go to a restaurant. Its hard to cook something if you don't know what to expect.

Tough and bloody...

Go out and get yourself a nice NY Strip steak or fillet mignon medium or medium-rare... you'll love it.

Get a filet for your first.

Steak lovers love Ribeye but it's got "bands" of fat throughout it that will probably not be the best fist impression.

In all honestly, for the money, the Victoria's center cut filet from Outback Steak house is pretty damn good and won't break the bank like Ruth's Chris would. There's an Outback off of 20 over by 400 in Cumming near the Kohl's.

For the meal and tip with drink it'll run you around $25 out the door.

Of course I've never had a better steak than the ones I've made myself at home.

exactly. unless you know what you are doing (wich you dont) go to a steakhouse.

if you insisnt on makeing it at home. get either a ribeye (bone in if you can find it) or a porterhouse either one but get it cut at least 1.5"

get it med rare. sure it is going ot be red. but thats the best steak.
