I have network communication... but I cannot (tried just about everything) get shared internet connectivity.

I am using Diamond Home (phone line) network hardware/software. The networking works great... but I am not able to figure out why I cannot get the internet sharing to work. I am hooked up to the internet via DSL with no hub or router. I have a Host computer that I have networked to a client computer. They both can share print/files, and I am trying to figure out how to get them to work sharing the internet. There is wingate that is installed on the host/client. The client is supposed to autoconfigure and invisibly run the wingate program that is supposed to allow it to connect to the internet through the host computer.

I would like to know what I am doing wrong here. I have tried without running my firewall software, but that did not help. I have tried connecting to the internet on the host computer (PPPoE), and still am not able to get the client computer to access the internet when the browser is opened.

Not sure if I need to manually enter seperate/differing IP address's for the 2 computers, and/or refer the host computer to a DNS. The host computer connects fine to the internet.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
