temp agency. there saturday-sunday jobs in NYC aplenty. Load up on staples like a few lbs of rice etc and be frugal for a few months and you will get ahead bro. Winter sucked in NYC and it can be a depressing place so hang in there man

I can't even afford rice. What part of literally don't you understand?

You said you have a few euros lying around.

You're not literally out of money.

Exchange the euros at a bank. Going rate is a bit over 1.2 dollars per euro.
Buy some rice/beans.

Are you living at home? Do you family members who can help you out?

Nah, I've got my own place. No real friends around here.

I'm not on the verge of homelessness or anything, but it's going to be rough until I get a few checks coming in.

2005 was a very good year for mature humor. Threads shouldn't have been closed. We could use updates.

Rakehellion, you seem smart and tough. I have no doubt you'll get out of your bind and flourish.

I've seen those threads numerous times before and I wasn't even around then.

I'll be okay in a few months. Just some things happened recently and knocked me down.

maybe try doing some freelancing on odesk or something. maybe fiverr. also seriously, you could dumpster dive and flip for profit.

I have a freelancer account but haven't used it in a while. Most of the projects are like "I want you to make me an iPhone game for $20!" And that's the full description of the request. And then you have a dozen people from China bidding $10.

I've got some checks coming in eventually, but I have nothing today.

Getting a craigslister ton show up for an appointment is like getting a toddler to take a bath.
