I have issues with GTA 3 and my ATI card

I have the ATI Radeon 64mb ddr card. I just installed gta3 the other day. The game seems to run fine for a couple minutes, but eventually the frames begin to stutter. In other words the game seems to run slower and less fluent. Are there any updates for the ATI users that play gta 3?
 
The problems your having aren't due to the ATi card but are probs everyone are having. There are some settings that you should change in the options.
