I was off Sunday and decided to work on my control panel....
I spent a total of 10 hours on the control panel, cutting it and wiring it up.....
Im not done with it yet however because I still need to do the front peice, sand it down and stain it
.
I was going to go with a metal control panel but after the laser machine my dad was going to use to cut the holes died I decieded to do wood... It turned out really nice and I decided to keep it.
I had the coin lights wired up as you will see in the first pictures but I accidentally shorted them out and blew them so I need to get some more...
BEWARE these pictures are like 1.5mb I just uploaded them and havent had a chance to resize them...
Out on the porch yesterday after finnaly getting the last few wires hooked up..... - You can see where im going to add the other peice of wood to fill in the hole. The black button is the coin button for if you dont have any quarters
Me testing it out for the first time. - you can see the coin lights lit up, this is before I blew them
My dad and my freind Nick, who helped me on this whole project, playing hot dog storm. - Pulled off the crappy protection tape on the marquee and the t-molding, looks really good.
The other angle.
Setup in my room, testing out marvel vs. capcom......
Close up.
Overall im very satisfied with it
, everything has went smoothly and the Ipac worked like a CHARM, it was easy and quick to wire up.
My total cost for the project is somewhere between $600-$700, maybe a little less I will have to calculate the cost sometime this week.
I have already had someone offer to buy it, A guy my dad works with said that he would give me $1500 for it. Which is good considering I probally have only 1 weeks total worth of work in it. Im not going to sell this one though since It is my first but I am going to build him one, Hopefully I can save a little bit on this one since I already know the ropes sorta
, If you want me to build you one and are serious Ill cut AT'ers a deal since shipping will suck...
If you have an questions please ask, Comments are welcome also....
Thanks,
Josh
