Good choices. I don't think a 380W PS would be necessary. I would comment that without a fast vid card, this system will not be that fast. So, but, on which vid card, I would prolly say yea a R9500 Pro over a Ti 4400 if you are in the $200 price range. On the mobo, I guess, I would say that its a good board as well. If you would like some more help, don't hesitate to givde me a yell:)

thanx for the input

Yea,the 9500 Pro won't be out their Novemember. I just wouldn't expect a big improvement without a faster vid card. If you wanted to buy a new vid card now, I'd get the GF4 Ti 4400, which either way, still competes very nicely with the 9500 Pro.

On the Power Supply, I'd say just get the Antec TRUE330 330w power supply, but its out of stock @ newegg. Sooo, I would lean maybe towards just a Antec 350W for $48 @ Newegg, I don'[t know however what the difference is between the TRUE Antec power supply's and the Non-TRUE ps's. Maybe someone else can answer this, aren't the TRUE's quieter?

Lets summarize the 9500pro review from anandtech....

If you want dx9.0 compliant vid card and do not change vid cards like ppl change oil in their car then 9500 pro is a better option then the 4200 or 4400...

If you like to run the games with all the eye candy AA on full blast then radeon 9500pro is a better card then the 4200-4400...

The real stink is past running in AA since no real games will be around or run dx9.0 now you basically from waht I have seen get near 4200 perfromance but not 4400 performance from theis highly neutered card. This card is not much of step up in todays games to a radeon8500 which they should have placed in that review to give some calrity on it.

If it comes out at 200 bucks then like anandtech says this is a little to late to compete against current 4200-4400 cards that perform better now but at lower cost.

How much will the non pro 9700 be??? If it is close in price to 9700 pro it may be too much, but if it is mid 250's get that card...

yeah see, this is why im willing to wait out on the video card for the moment, i want to get the right card.

so basically, to summerize your summary:

geforce 4 4400 is your pick unless the 9700 pro is at $250 or less?

well.... i slightly partial to intel chipsets.... so i'd go with the i845PE. a few boards can be had for under $100. the albatron 845PEV pro sound and 3com nic for $95(anandtech liked the board) check it here

the case and powersupply combo would be better spent on a $93 case with a nice power supply included. newegg has an aluminum chieftec with and window and 420 watt PS for $107 shipped, or the steel version with a window, 420 watt ps, and front usb for $97.

ephex i agree with you but like i said i already am getting a real good deal on a case, so doing that would realter my who setup , lol, im not ready to preform a full makeover of my pc

i dont think i intend on changing anything unless someone notes a legitimate problem with one of these parts...the reason being that so many people have so many different opinions and if i listened to what everyone said they prefer i'd never be able to decide on a part...thats why i just want to make sure that these products are good

Intel has been known to be a much more stable platform thatn SIS. I don't trust any of their products after I built 30 computers with SIS integrated motherboards and had 7 motherboards die after two months. The Gigabyte GA-8IE533 is only $95 and the GIGABYTE GA-8GE667 PRO is $131 but allows you to use P4's with hyperthreading enabled in case you want to just upgrade the processor in the future.
