I used to get speeds about 100KB/s. Now I get about 3KB.

Basically I have the modem going to a hub. This hub has two connections, one is to a router that splits off into two connections to PCs (PC 1 and 2), and the other connection to the hub is directly to a PC (PC 3). We have to do it this way beacause one computer has VPN/Lotus Notes and that's the only way it works.

Now, if either PC connected to the router is online (just one PC), then it's fine. But the second BOTH PC's are on at the same time, the speed becomes 3KB.

WHY. If I unplug one or the other (1 OR 2), then speeds go back to normal. Before I left for school, we had all 3 hooked up ok.. but now it's just messed up.

Sounds like your router is hosed.... but im intrigued by your setup.

Why not get a router that allows VPN Passthrough so that 3rd computer can be behind the router as well?

The router does allow for VPN passthrough (I believe). It's actually my mom's system and she uses it to get onto her office network.

I switched the router with another one today with no luck (another Netgear one). I have no idea, I think it might be the modem?

Basically I've found that when I restart the modem with PC 1 and 2 in, it goes at good speeds, then degrades down to 3KB in about 10-15 minutes. I have NO idea what could be causing the problem, I even switched out the hubs.

Somebody take a DSL filter out of the line?

No, I checked all the filters. I even unplugged the phones, all of them.

Kaspersky, fully updated are on all machines.

Lotus notes won't work for PC 3 if it goes though the router. PC 3 is the mother's computer.

First step is to eliminate all home networking and see if it is PC/home network or Provider.

Test each and every machine directly to you service. It almost sounds like you have some kind of loop.

If every machine works well directly to the provider then we can focus on you network setup.
