I know it's not quite a console, but in some ways it acts like one, hence my post here.
Anyway, I have concluded that I f**king despise on-screen control pads on the iPad. I have gamed for many years, and I just cannot get used to losing the tactile feedback of a real controller for on-screen controllers. This is because I can neither feel NOR see where my fingers are and my brain is obviously incapable of accepting this.
Anybody else like this? The iPad is great for certain games, like RTS (even though there aren't many of them). No feel, but who cares because you're seeing where your fingers go relative to what's going on, but with a FPS you never see where your fingers are directly, which is fine if you're using a PS3, xbox etc. controller, but on the iPad it feels to me like stabbing in the dark.
