I was at the movies tonight and this girl got a call on her cell. She acted like no one was there and just carried on a casual *loud* conversation for about 5 min. My wife and I looked at one another in shock becasue she was showing no consideration for her fellow movie goers... So I asked her to take it outside and told her she was being a distraction to those of us trying to watch the movie.

She then tell me "your just jealous cause you can't afford a cell man, get a life" WTF- are they that expensive? My 8 yr old has one; it's only $29 a month and he pays for it! She was not only rude but clueless. Youth these daze.

(fob voice) and proceeds to have a conversation on his phone loudly. i was SO embarassed. and it happend twice. ughhhh

Just come hang out around me. Since I was 6 or 7 I've had a REALLY bad habit of coming up with quick witted smart a$$ responses to the actions of stupid people. Cost me MANY pints of blood till I learned: A quick wit is best accompanied by quick reflexes.

I seriously doubt it. First of all I doubt if she would know what slander was. Second she'd have to think quickly enough (not gonna happen) to get police on scene to find out who I was before the movie ended since there are no personal records of my attendance. Then she's gonna have to prove that the statement is false (always fun in court with publicly accessible records). After all that is said and done I have a total net worth of around 4 or 5 thousand dollars and make a whopping $11-12 an hour...most of my earnings are state withheld for child support so in fact, she wouldn't get anything out of me anyway.

Besides, I've been saying this kind of stuff for 29 years and the only response it ever brings is beatings (or attempted beatings). Nope, it's well worth it.

Next time this happens, dont say anything, just walk behind her, take the phone away from her. Walk towards the exit, open the door, slide the phone outside and close the door.

I first got my cell phone when I was about 14 near to 15. Only as my dad wanted me to use it in emergencies and to contact me for things. I didn't use it much back then. Different story now
