I have BF3 Premium and never played it....now what to do with it?

I opened it from its sealed case to look at what was inside but never played it since I bought it in December 2012. It still looks brand new and in superb condition.

Bought it at gamestop back then. Would they buy it from me? Use it as a beverage coaster?
Keep it as a reminder of how I wasted my money?

Just keep it, or give it to a buddy, or hell even give it away here. BF3 keys have been on sale for $5 so it's not really worth selling it. If you try to return an open package to GS they'll laugh right in your face, and rightfully so. They don't know you haven't used that key.

Did you play and enjoy BF2? If so install BF3 and play the Back to Krakland maps. If you enjoy those again, you can try the other maps.

Yeah, it was even given away for free on Origin for a while too. May as well install it and give it a go, or just give it away.

I never got a chance to build my gaming computer and with all stress in my life over the past year or so I basically lost interest in gaming on a whole.

However, I found a good deal on Amazon for an Acer laptop and took advantage of it. I might as well try and install BF3 and give it a run. Hopefully, my system can handle it at decent frames and I also hope the BF3 community is not "dead" considering it has been 3 or more years since the game came out.

laptop specs are here.........

would they even accept a 2 year old return even if it was still sealed? highly doubt it.
