I do not care much for zombie movies, although return of the living dead form the 90s was fun, especially part 2 and 3. Alike REC and REC2 and Resident evil. But all the others, i still cannot get myself to watch the walking dead.

Izombie.
The actress Rose McIver playing liv has the most fun part, she has a character that has a different personality each episode because she gets the personality and memories of the people from whom she consumes the brains and she experiences the memories as having visions.
Her playing an old grumpy guy is funny to see. And of course the show is filled with attractive actresses and actors. Rose McIver and Aly michalka steal the show when it comes to looks and cute faces.Aly michalka in short shorts wearing 2 pairs of socks and Rose has the best expressions evah !. Yum.
Ravi going wild in the disco.

It is sort of a detective show with a side story with zombies but fun to watch.

Clive, Ravi, Blaine and Major are portrayed very well.
Like a dash of Murder she wrote combined with return of the living dead 3 in a Blender.

Netflix has only up till season 2, i hope we get more seasons soon.

Season 3 is already on Netflix US. The show concept seemed silly, never gave it a chance, will add it to the list (which is way too long right now).

It's actually better than it sounds. Like OP said, it's a refreshing change of pace for zombie movies. The premise is:

1. Zombies exist & their minds are intact, but no one really knows about them (like Twilight was with vampires)
2. Main character gets bit, turns into a zombie, has to go on living her daily life
3. In order to survive, she gets a job in a morgue so she can eat brains
4. Eating the brains gives her glimpses of the person's memories, like how the person died
5. She ends up working with a cop (who thinks she's psychic or something) to solve murders
6. It's set in the real world and is kind of like a CSI Lite, with a zombie spin

It's not like super super compelling but it is a fun show for when you just want a popcorn episode. Kind of reminds me of Psych, if you can handle the occasional slighty-lame humor, overall it's a pretty decent show.
