also, I just had to fill out another survey for "physics first" - a program to encourage more schools to teach physics as a freshman level course. Other than trig, I don't think there's any problem with that.
 
It's not even that much trig you need to know ...

Basically, sin = opp/hyp, cos = adj/hyp, and you don't need tangent =p.

At least, i'm in AP Physics C and thats about the extent of trig we've used so far. Can't remember what last years physics was like ...
