I need help upgrading in general. I currently have a custom desktop that I pretty much can do everything I "need" it to do. I have been saving up for a DTR notebook. I currently have $1500, I prolly need another $2500. I "want" to get a notebook with an FX-60 and 7900 GTX, but Im broke and prolly don't need all that power. The problem is that I work a really boring job...all day. I never get to see my house anymore so I was thinking I need to go mobile. I play a lot of sports games (Madden, Mvp Basesball, NBA live etc...) and write a lot of music (Finale 2006, Fruity Loops, etc). My desktop can handle all these apps but its pretty old (Sempron 1.583ghz, 768mb 266, Personal Cinema 5700 128mb, 250GB 16mb 7200, 16X DVD+-R). I figured its old enough where the should be a notebook comparible in performance if not a little better thats fairly cheap. I also want to upgrade my desktop if not build a new one as well. I plan on saving up $4000 for this project but I dont know whether to get the DTR notebook, or have a notebook comparible to my current desktop and have decent desktop. In other words its cheaper to desktop parts than it is notebook components. I'd probably have a notebook already but I just dont know how good these intergrated graphics chips are, even if its like X700 or 7300. I really want a notebook with a dedicated graphic card, preferably upgradeable. I dont know what to do..Im so tsupid
