I started my new job this week, and after 2 days of watching anti sexual harrasment tape, reviewed company policies with the HR folks, etc...So this morning this fat girl that I have no idea who she was came up to me, and told me that she needed my service. To make a long story short, I did some tedious work that she was too lazy to do herself. I was too stupid to realize it at the time, I thought it was part of a training...so ok, lesson learnt, and 10minute later, another older lady came up to me, and wanted me to do her tedious setup for her too! WTFBBQ? this is how they treat a new co-worker in the group? So is hazing fairly common at your workplace? My old workplace never did anything like this, thats why I am kinda new to this "welcoming."
cliff's:
started new job
fat co-worker told me to do something and made me believe it was part of a training
did the work, and realized she was just too lazy to do her work
10mins later
another older lady in her 50's wanted me to do her work too as a way to "welcome" me
new to hazing at work place
question: is hazing common at your workplace? how did they "welcome" you?
