:| i'm not sure of the problem.. it could be a memory issue but everything i've tried doesn't work.. on certain games such as Alice, No One Lives Forever, Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 and others produce choppy and sloppy sound... it sounds like ass.. i have the current drivers for my mx400 sound card, updated bios with VIA support directX 8.0, reinstalled all.. reinstalled widows.. it still doesn't work.. i have 128mb sdram pc133 blah blah blah.. cpu: duron700, abit kt7 mother board, 40gb free space on hd... if anyone can help i'd appreciate it, i'm open to any suggestions other than format c:

Sounds like an IRQ problem, check Device Manager for con-flicks. If found try different slots for cards, check PNP in BIOS. Try both settings, good luck.
