I have an old microwave.

I no longer need the working microwave that I have, because it has been replaced with a new one.

Any creative ideas as to the fate of my microwave?

three easy options.
give it away on freecycle.org
sell it cheap on craigslist.org
drop it on your front porch or whatever with a big "FREE" sign on it.

Don't get inside it unless you really know what you are doing - they are much more deadly inside even when unplugged then CRT monitors are. More amateur repairmen / tinkerers have been killed from the components inside microwaves then the components inside CRT monitors.

Not creative, but you could donate it to the local charity for someone that needs one.

I think thats what ill end up doing. I was mainly just trying to avoid the time and drive to get it there.

In regard to the bold idea, I've found it works best if you put a price on it, people won't take sh!t they think is free, but if it's worth something they'll steal it.

That seems backwards and just messed up to me, but with the way people are now... I guess it would make sense.

Yes, I agree, but people won't take what they think is trash, they want something that they feel has worth.

Ahhh....dude, they are not that deadly if you do not do something stupid like put your junk infront of the magnetron while it is running.

Take it apart and use the HV section for tesla coils or jacobs ladders !

If you really want to be malicious , point the magnetron at someones wifi site.

Any of these are great options. You get rid of the microwave, it's of minimal to no inconvenience to you, and potentially, you may help out somebody who's broke...
