i want to use this HDD for something,
its a 1.8in toshiba drive, with 50 pins
even tho the webpage says 44
its 20 gigs from a 3rd generation ipod
anyone know of an adapter or anything

you can get an external enclosure for it and use it as portable storage. OR sell it on ebay...ppl are looking for hard drives to replace theirs with

its not a typical laptop HDD, there is no external enclosure for it
it needs an adapter of some sort

then either try to get an ipod case off ebay that has no HDD, and get it working...or sell it for hella cheap on ebay to someone who just has a case.... im sure you can get at least $75 for it...

They do sell enclosures for 1.8" hard drives...

care to point me in the right direction?

 
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the hard drives Apple uses for the iPod is just a typical laptop hard drive? If this is the case then yes any of those enclosures will work.
