Finally. I'm interviewing for a position at the Bon-Ton (that's a department store chain)... My creed has always been "I WILL NOT WORK RETAIL." But desperate times call for... Who the hell am I kidding?
Apparently, unbeknownst to me, their corporate headquarters is right here in town... And they just threw a big'ol datacenter in it. And starting hourly pay for low-level IT work? $13.50. Which is a damn far cry from the $6.75 I was making at my previous place of employment before they decided they didn't need an IT department and gave us all of an email's notice not to bother coming in anymore.
