I have a branded PC, IBM Personal Computer 300PL with specs:

Petium 233 MMX
32 MB EDO RAM on a DIMM socket
1.2 gig HDD (can I use a 20gig. primaey master only)
onboard video card and soundcard

IBM Personal Computer 300GL specs:
Pentium 200 MMX
16 MB SDRAM
1.2 gig HDD
onboard video and soundcard

Im wondering if there are available website/webpages that has facts about these two branded IBM PC's that tells you some other secrets which you can do to further push the CPU/PC to it's limits? and Im also looking for TWEAKED Bios of these IBM PC's are there any tweaked bios downloadable on the net? my other problem is I want to use my 20gig HDD partitioned to two (10gig each) to be my primary master HDD but I cant access the other 10gig half when Im in DOS (boot from a startup floppy)

any reply will be highly appreciated.

thnx!

Pity they weren't just a LITTLE bit newer... if they were slot-1 P2's I might have recommended the Slot-T + Tulatin Celeron but it won't do any good with these P1+EDO beasts.

For using multiple large HDD's you might want to consider a PCI IDE controller card (ATA133) that should beat the system. If you can find one used/cheap that is. Don't dump much money or effort into these beasts... :)

Have fun! It's good practice!
