Hello all, I hope you can help me out. I have an ASUS P3B-F mobo that needs a CPU. Does anyone know what is the fastest slot 1 or 370w/ slocket I could drop in? I would like to use a coppermine P3. What are you guys using with this motherboard? I know the BIOS was flashed less than a year ago. I am still looking for my documentation to see what board revision I have. Any input is appreciated. Thank you. -john

You can use any coppermine P3 in production now.

I have used the P3B-f running Celeron at 9.5 (multiplier) x 100MHz FSB with no problem.

The board supports FSB up to 150 MHz.

Currently P3 1GHz running 7.5 x 133 should work just fine.

Theoretically, it can run 9.5 x 150FSB = 1.4 GHz, but no such P3 exists.

Be aware however that if you run fsb speeds over 100 your agp is out of spec. This means some video cards my not function currectly.

Sweet mobo. If you are using the Geforce version of video cards it should not be a problem.
The best is to buy P3 700, 100 fsb version and overclock to 133 fsb.

I recommend you run the latest BIOS, version 1008 Beta 002, as this has support for the latest steppings, cC0 and cD0 stepping Pentium IIIs.
