I have an asus cuv4x motherboard. Will this support an agp 4x/8x video card?

I want to get a new low end video card for this like a 6200 or a 9600pro but now that I am about to buy it I am not sure these cards will work on my motherboard. My motherboard box says 4x but that is it. I was reading another post and the comment was made that a 4x/8x video card wouldn't work with a 2x/4x motherboard because the voltage was different. Does anyone know if my motherboard(in my sig) will support one of these cards. I bought a used geforce 4 ti4800 that I thought was DOA but maybe it wasn't compatible with my motherboard for the above mentioned reasons.

thanks

Don't worry about the AGP signalling voltage stuff, a 4x/8x card will work in 4x slot.

Generally speaking if an AGP card can physically fit into an AGP slot, it will work. Provided both of them fully conform to AGP specs.
