I had a X800 Pro, and it was reading as a GTO through Everest

I don't know if there is actually any performance difference between an X800 and a X800GTO, but if your card's performance is satisfactory to you, then it's all good. :)

i havent seen benchmark comparisons between the two but i would assume that the gto to a certain extend would do better...........Im very happy with my radeon x800, hasent given me a single problem yet and it runs every game, for a 100 bucks not a bad deal , and actually you can get it for 78 bucks right now after rebate on newegg
