please bear with me here, i dont know much about how to do this so im gonna have to speak in very general terms:
I have a video camera, its not that new so it doesnt have connectiosn directly to the computer (or at least not that i know of), but its new enough to have an LCD. Now i took a video, that i would like have put on my computer so i can send it to a friend, but i have no idea how to do this. Ive already checked the manuel but it didn't mention anything like that. Would it be possible for me to put this video on my computer? Thanks, i know i was kinda vague.

Doh!

What is the model # for your camcorder? Without knowing the camcorder's spec. it's really hard to tell you what options you have.

The easiest is to transfer via USB but it's very slow. If your camcorder is really old, it might not offer this option. But you can still transfer the movie file either via firewire or video capture board (and some other gadgets which I won't get into right now). The right method to do this depends on your camcorder's features. All I want to say right now is that it is definitely possible to transfer the video file to your computer using various methods but it may be costly (you would have to buy the add-on cards & cable if necessary). If you plan on doing this regularly (or even occasionally) in the future, it would be a good investment.
