the blades sharpen themselves, since they pass along a sharpening stone during their rotation...maintenence is pretty much non-existent on them. and his has worked for at least 40 years now...

It actually works quite well. Very well. Highly recommended.
I don't recall what it is, but it's battery powered and very eco friendly. Surprisingly it is a "green" color.

It's still more efficient than a small 2-stroke gasoline engine. At least that way, the energy is produced in a slightly more efficient manner, all in one place.Originally posted by: crt1530
Why do you think your electricity is clean energy? The vast majority of electricity produced in this country is from fossil fuel production plants. If you want to avoid being a polluter, buy a push mower. If you are really concerned about the environment, write your senator/congressman and tell them to focus on nuclear energy solutions.
