I have a very important question

i have a p4 2.8 and an asus p4p800 deluxe (socket 478) motherboard and i had to take out the original retention base when i first installed the cpu and fan because i got a different fan that had a screw in plate that you would go on the bottom side of the motherboard. now im going off to college on saturday and since i leave my computer on for awhile at times and decided i would get a new fan becasue the one i have now is somewhat loud. i purchased a new fan and to do so i first ahd to put back the orinal retention base. i forgot that the screw in piece was on the bottomof the motherboard and tried forcing the piece in and ended up damaging it. now the new fan doesnt sit flush on the processor and wont work and i need to get myself a new retention base. if anyone knows where i can get one or has any other suggestions they would be greeatly appreciated. I have contacted asus through email to try and get one fomr them but i have a feeling that this wil take a while and i leave for college on saturday.
thanks soo much
