. . . about the Philadelphia Phillies this year, and it's not primarily because of the signing of David Bell or even the high bucks wooing and signing of the awesome Jim Thome, a Philly type of guy if there ever was one, but because the baseball gods looked down and were pleased upon seeing the notoriously tight fisted Phillies' management open up their purses, and delivered Kevin Millwood unto us.

Now, let us all pause for a moment and pray for the complete recovery of Turk Wendell, as the fightin' Phils still need all the relief pitching they can get their grubby hands on.
