I have a thinkpad X20 type 2662-36U which came with a 10.8 volt li-ion battery. But if I order a battery from IBM or Kahlon, then the new battery ordered would be 14.4 volts. The old battery's p/n is 02k6710...

Who is correct?? Or can I use a different volt battery??

Thanks in advance!

They have combined the batteries for X20, X21, X22, X23 and X24. It will work fine with your system as 14.4v is the max the battery can supply so it can run the later x machines as well as yours.

I have an X20 PN 2662-35u and I'm running one of these batteries just fine.

You'll see that this new battery replaces your part number.
