I have a temperture of 101.4 What can I do

drink lots of water. Drink so much you pee clear. And keep yourself dry. If you shiver, its most likely cause you are sweating... try drying yourself off and then you wont be soo cold.

Drink a lot of water. Puke when necesary and sleep it off. Sorry, you're gonna have to go this one alone, Trooper. 😎

that's not to high. the best thing you can do is sleep and drink a LOT of liquids. you're fighting an infection and all that heat is energy your body is burning. You'll need calories that you can stomach and tons of liquid not to get dehydrated.

Of course if it lasts more than five or six hours that high you should DEFINATELY see a doctor. Fevers should come in waves, if they're consistent it represents a serious infection of some kind.

If your urine is not clear it's likely you're dehydrated.

< --- Has never once been completely hydrated in his life.

Yes it could be from the cut on your wrist. How did you cut it. Rusty metal can carry a bacteria leading to an infection called Tetanus, the treatments are painful. Is the area around the cut stiff or swollen?

~edit
Jesus that scotch is strong. I spelled metal with a 't'...

If you still have a fever after 24 hours then contact your doctor. If it goes any higher to say around 103 then I would also call your doctor.

Otherwise drink water and get some sleep.

Awww, common. Only 101.4!!!!

If we only had this emoticon, I would use it right after saying "Stop being so <insert emoticon>.

welcome to the group. I am sick too.

This is what I am doing.. drinking lots of water when I can, taking medicine every 4 hrs. If I feel cold I go under the blanket and cuddle in so that the heat from my body keeps me warm. Usually this will happen while you have fever. My fever has reduced so I am neffing now.

take the temprature every 2 hrs.. and oh yeah.. if it touches 104F and wont come down ask someone to put an ice pack on your head (cloth / towel dipped in cool water on your head it will bring down the temprature... if it doesnt.. go to ER.. If I reach 105F tonite im going to ER.

Edit: I have been hovering about 102-105F all night and day. Now its hovering around 101.4 - 102F. also eat something periodacally.. give u energy.
