We're still working on all the blueberries, we have 20 or so bushes and they're loaded.
There's blueberry pie and blueberry buckle (it's sort of a heavy yellow cake loaded with blueberries with a struesel topping, it's sheer divinity) in the fridge.
The blackberries aren't ready yet and the black rasberries are just finishing up.
Some of our apples are almost ready and we'll move right into apple pie/apple cake time.
My wife is the best baker in the entire free world.
Our black raspberries have been done for a few weeks now, and I really don't have a whole lot of them anyway. I prefer their taste over the blackberries - they're lots sweeter.
I planted a little peach tree a couple of years ago, and it has 6 peaches this year - they're almost ready.
You're a good ways south of us. Our blackberries won't be ready for awhile yet.
I bet you'll have beautiful peaches.
Peaches are a real challenge here. Two hours south they grow the most wonderful peaches imaginable. Here the growing season makes it damn near impossible to grow nice peaches. We can grow them, but the insects and fungus make them look nasty.
I've got gorgeous apples though, that's the upside. 🙂
you are usually ahead of us for the growing season.
and Pennsylvania peaches rule!
