Come on man, the guy can only backtrack and make up so many different stories!
The problem is that he claimed that it is State Farm that covered costs on the Neon.
If insured by Geico, then Geico should have been responsible for the liabilities.
As you say, he has generated so many stories that he can not keep the facts (to build the stories) straight.
In the state of florida, your PIP ($8500 for the neon) is covered by YOUR insurance, by law, in this case, SF.
If you have property damage, it can be covered by your collision or the other party's PD.
State Farm ate personal injury, Geico is eating property damage (car), and SF is eating property damage (contents).
It's extremely easy to have one car accident, and two or three insurance claims open with different insurers because of it.
