You dummy.... You're supposed to get estimates from 3 or 4 repair shops, and give the insurance company the highest two. Otherwise, you end up having to take the low bid shop that's probably going to do a crummy job on your car.

what don't you agree with on the settlement? gotta be more specific ya know!

Their estimate to repair is priced on "Two romanians and a hammer body shop inc"

You said before that they totalled your car. Why does the repair cost matter if your car was totalled?

You suck at life. What did you do to get a better settlement BEFORE they sent you the check? Our insurance company offered us less than our car was worth when it was totalled, guess what we did? We found private party ads for our car with comparable options and mileage and they offered us an extra $3000!

And stop referring to your daddy's lawyer as "your" lawyer.

The total loss was my integra, with State Farm.

This is a liability claim through Geico.

There are two different accidents here.

And MY lawyer gets paid, my dad is too cheap to get a lawyer.

Already did that, never heard from them again.

Just an FYI - the claims office pays the doctors/hospital DIRECTLY. If they paid them $10,000 for metical bills, I don't see a dime of that.

Really?

http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=38&threadid=1905412&enterthread=y
Progressive totalled my car. $1300
State Farm totatlled my car. $1800
Progressive paid my injury: $3000
State Farm paid my injury: $8500
State Farm paid my OTHER injury: $8500
Geico totalled my car: $4500

Their claims office went from "yeah, we're going to total your car" to "nah, we can fix it cheaper so go f yourself."

they always go with the cheaper estimate.

personally i think they shouldn't paid you a damn thing. abuse of the system just makes my rates go up.

Gotta love ohio. They are required to pay for where you want the car fixed, not where its cheapest.

Don't tell PAB that. He'll move to Ohio, set up an auto shop that charges $40,000 per hour and conveniently get into an accident.

It is actually considered illegal by insurance standards to come out ahead. They are to pay for the loss... no more unless its emotion crap etc etc.

Here's a thought, PAB. Get off your ass and break your back earning an honest dollar.

If a group of us AT regulars chipped in say $10 paypal each, would you promise to never post on AT again?

To make sure of it, you'd have to ask the Mods to ban you, since you've never demonstrated anything approaching the honesty that would suggest you could keep a promise.

He's been banned many times before. He's also a liar, so don't hold him to anything. He drools uncontrollably at the sight of money so when he wags his tail and his head nods, know that it's only because you're waving the bills in the same direction.

The kind of sniveling little c*nt that thinks the world is so out to get him that he actually believes people fire asians, the hardest working people I know, due to racism.
