Hello. I am having this video problem that totally has me stumped. When the computer is in Windows, I can notice little jaggies or waves. They are like a minature version of the aliasing you see in 3D games. I can notice it easily on text, and the sides of the screen. The problem does not come up when windows boots up, or in any games. The problem is fickle. Its duration and intensity always varies. My monitor is a Gateway VX900T. My computer was built by myself, and the video card is a Leadtek Geforce 2 MX Dual-Head. I have not tried moving my monitor, but I tried connecting it to a laptop. The problem is gone. The leads me to assume that the problem lies with the video card. I tried clean out all the dust out of my computer. I cleaned the contacts of the video card, and the agp slot. I clean the monitor plug, and where it plugs in the video card. (forgot what it is called) I though there might be interference from nearby electronics. I tried shutting alot of things off, to no avail. I have the latest NVidia reference drivers. I also tried different refresh rates, and resolution. The problem might go for a minute then return. This problem just popped up out of no where. It worked fine for over a year. BTW my OS is WIN2K. Thanks. I honestly appreciate any help I get.

From what you are saying, it does sound like a bad video card. From what you are saying, it sounds like you have located the problem.

I should mention that I am going to try using a different video card tomarrow, and see what that does. I tried doing a couple of print screens to get a screen shot, but doing that completely gets rid of the problem in the picture.
