I have a question....

So, I'm putting together a rig in May for BF2, and I'm planning on getting a Viewsonic 17-inch monitor (the 8ms one) and I have a question. The monitor's resolution is 12X10, and it's bad to run games outside of native resolution (am I right or wrong on this one?). So, if I'm only running at 12x10 in games, would a 6600GT be enough to run AA/AF and full settings, or should I spring for a 6800GT? Feedback is appreciated.

It's not BAD... it wouldn't hurt anything... but things might look a bit off when using a resolution other than it's native one. You may not even notice it in a game (not sure, I've never gamed on an LCD for any length of time in a resolution other than the native one), but you'd more than likely notice it when looking at text.

Its not too bad assuming you use DVI. I run most of my games at 1024x768 on a 12x10 panel and I find it very acceptable. If you are going to run 12x10 w AA/AF definately get the 6800+. I have a 6600GT and it starts wheezing pretty bad at 12x10 w/ candy on.
