"I just put a disk in my modem down there and the metal thingy is still in it."

Someone just called to report that to me.

Translation: The sliding metal cover on my floppy disk is stuck in the drive.

10 seconds with a pair of tweezers and we're back in business. Any similar experiences this happy Monday?

:D

at my first internship a few years ago some lady was showing me how to get to a file. she went through literally 15 levels of folders.

so i right-clicked on the folder and created a shortcut to it on my desktop.

the woman stared at me in utter amazement and was convinced from that day forward that i was the god of computers.

"I can't map the R Drive" says General Whosyodaddy

"OK" says me, not a help desk techncian

General's R Drive <> My R Drive

Spent a couple minutes trying to figure out where he wanted to go, and eventually got him there....I am computer god now. And he is a General....hmmm....I need some more "salad" for my dress blues...wonder what kinda medals he can "perscribe"

I booted up my brother-in-laws' computer and there were 19 icons in his system tray. He was wondering why it was so slow.
