I have a new resentment to try to overcome...

Seriously...why do they do this? Its bad enough on the freeway but in town? How am I supposed to actually know if you are stopping if your brake lights are on while you are accelerating?

If you are one of these bastards, please fess up so that I can flame you on here and release my frustrations.

Man, seems every thread I post in tonight gets locked. Oh, hi NSFW! Nice thread ya' got here.

The mods got their 40% from me this month, so this thread is safe.

I'm guessing you just mean those with automatic transmissions.

Not everyone who drives two footed rides their brakes, those are just the retards.

Did you give them their happy ending? That safety might not be guaranteed until then.

Good luck driving a manual transmission with one foot

Yep.

I was talking about automatics. You know, those people who brake and accelerate at the same time?

I'll edit for clarity

Are you tailgating? Perhaps you drive are too closely to the car in front of you and that driver is trying to get you to back off.

Nope, I hate tailgaters.

I used to drive a manual car, so when I switched to automatic I still used both feet. However, unlike apparently what you've encountered, I don't brake while accelerating or anything like that...it's either one or the other.

Can't you seriously damage your car if you use break and accelerate at same time? I don't know too much about the mechanics of cars but I would think you're putting lot of pressure on the brakes as well as the transmission when breaking and pressing the gas at same time.

I can't say I've ever run into people doing that, but yeah it would piss me off. What I've seen though is people stopped in middle of road right after a curve because they want to turn left in the most retarded location, and they have no signal and no brake lights. Takes a few extra seconds to realize they're actually stopped, when you're coming down at 60ish.

Every car should have a ejection seat and a stupidity meter, if you cross the red line you are ejected 25 ft into the air.

Think as a stupidity tax that goes towards supporting the automotive repair industry.

On another note, I'd be much more worried about them getting confused between the two peddles. IIRC most cases of someone hitting the wrong peddle and hitting someone/something is because they use both feet driving.

The only time I might do that is if I'm stopped on a really steep hill and need to get going without rolling back at all. Of course the hill would have to be steep enough to make an automatic roll back...
